This is the band that played in the casino, they were really nice to listen to! They took requests and played all different types of songs! I was excited when they played “Walking After Midnight” by Patsy Cline! I wanted to request it, but wasn’t sure they could do that one. To my surprise they played that song right after I thought that! :D

Our last night towel creature! A stingray! :D

I loved our cruise! The people were so nice and it was just an amazing experience! I am up for taking another one within a few years! :D
I did still feel like I was on the ship for a few days after! I think it is gone now, the body swaying lol People that have been on cruises know what I mean :)
It was nice to come home and sleep in our own bed, but I will definitely miss the food and the fresh towels lol If only we could have brought our waitress and our steward home with us!! LOL
I love being married and having things to do, like cooking and such. It’s kinda weird to explain, but I like doing things for Joey :) But now that school has started I come home tired so it’s a little harder, but is still rewarding!

Day 6

Hi Everyone!
Today was a “Fun Day at Sea”, and we had a nice and fun day :)
I might not be able to blog long bc the boat is rocking a lot since we are getting closer to Galveston, and the moving laptop screen might make me sick! :)
Today we woke up and ate breakfast. Went to the speech about disembarking. Surprisingly is was entertaining :) Our cruise director, Ralph is very funny.  Went shopping in the shops onboard. Went to the casino where a really good band plays, that is were the people swing dance ( I mentioned in my previous posts). Went to dinner, it was really yummy as usual. Went to a show where the passengers sang and dressed up as different famous singers. It was really good, but the guy that did Elvis sucked. He sang too low.
Ok picture time…it will have to come later, sorry but if I keep looking at this screen w/ the ship this rocking it could be a bad thing!
Have a great day!

Cozumel- Day 5

Hi Everyone!
We didn’t do much today. We relaxed today since we were still really tired from Grand Cayman.
We woke up and saw Cozumel in the distance, we were set to arrive there at 10am and Joey being used to work still wakes up at 7…then hw wakes me up :) We got into to dock, I finally got out of bed and we ate breakfast.
While eating breakfast we noticed that another Carnival ship was docked right next to us! It was a lil newer than ours and their theme of the ship was super heroes, I think Joey said. Our ship’s theme is Impressionists; so it has a lot of art on board. So while we ate breakfast we watched the people. It was funny because afterwards we went on the top deck and their announcements would happen and we couldn’t tell what ship it was!! lol The only difference is our announcer guy always says “Top of the morning to ya!” hehe
We soon after that went off the ship. We walked around the shops and I did some shopping while Joey watched :) The ship had given us a guide of different shops so I previously looked and picked some to visit. The first shop we went into was Del Sol.They have a lot of stuff that changes color with the sun! I got some neat hair clips there. It was really warm today! Luckily the shops were air conditioned!
One shop had a person outside that when he stood still you thought it was just a statue. He creeped me out! I didn’t want to go near him just in case he was one of those mean people that would jump at you,but he wasn’t. I took a picture of him so you can see him.
We went in a few more shops and I got 2 more things. That was about it. By that time we were getting hungry/tired/thirsty. So we went back on board. Got lunch, and took a long nap.
We take naps a lot! The sun and heat wears you out so fast! We then hung out until the shops opened on board, since I wanted to go to them. (The ship has to be so far until they can open the stores)
That was really our day. Nice and relaxing and not too eventful! :) I was REALLY excited when we saw our towel animal tonight though…I took a picture so you can see! It was one of my favorite animals! :D I really enjoyed Grand Cayman and Cozumel more than Jamaica. Just cleaner and prettier I think! Tomorrow is our day at sea, then we will be back in Galveston! I am excited about being back home, yet then I go back to school and life resumes, but it’s exciting to be able to tell my friends at school about everything that happened over the break! I have had a lot of fun on this cruise! And as Mary said I will weigh myself when I get back :)
Ok picture time!

Have a great day! :)

Grand Cayman- Day 4

Hi Everyone! :)
Today was a very fun day! It didn’t start out too well for me though.
We woke up this morning at 6am, it was still dark outside :/ I finally got up and got around, we went and ate at the buffet for breakfast. We then boarded a boat to take us from our ship to land…they don’t have a dock large enough for the ship. So the combination of the smaller boat rocking and breakfast was not that great. It wasn’t until our 2nd stop that I felt ok.
We got on land, they took our picture, like normal, and we waited to leave. In the Grand Cayman they drive on the opposite side than the US; a common trend in the Caribbean islands :)
--Hell--
We went and saw Hell. Yes there is a town in Grand Cayman named Hell. We stopped and were able to buy post cards/souvenirs if we wanted. There was also a post office right next to the shop, so we could have sent postcards. The tour lady said we could get a postcard saying “Wish you were here” and send it to your mother-in-law. lol I was not feeling really well so this stop was really crappy for me!
--Shop--
Next stop we stopped at another souvenir shop that had samples of rum and Tortuga rum cake. We bought some things there and it was back on the bus for us :)
--Turtle Farm!--
Next stop was the Turtle Farm!! I LOVED this stop!! By this time I was feeling back to normal, and I was so happy since I was really looking forward to this stop! It was so awesome! The first thing we saw there was a big pool where the mature turtles were kept to breed. The turtles were HUGE!! I would guess at least 2-3ft in diameter! I have never seen them so big! It was funny bc every once and a while you would see a head pop up out of the water lol
The next tank/holding thing were the younger turtles :) They weren’t babies but not breeding yet. It was so neat, the lady showed us how to get one out and hold it and how to put the turtles back in! She got one out and I got to hold her! I have a picture of me and the turtle! We took the picture, and then she let me know when she wanted back in by “flying” or flapping her arms. She flapped them so hard that I had red marks from her arms hitting me! lol She was pretty heavy. Then after that, we went and saw the tanks were they keep the turtles separated by sexes, before they go into the breeding tank. Then the tour lady showed us the sea turtle that is endangered! I loved this tour! It was so neat to see and hold the turtles!! :D
--Stingray City--
After that was the stingrays! We took a trip on a locals boat out to the place, which took a while bc his boat didn’t go that fast, or he didn’t want to go that fast. Once we got there we got in the water, which was pretty cool!! We got in and one of the guys held a stingray and told us about it. The guy let some people “kiss” the stingray or have the stingray flap around on your back for pictures, but we didn’t want to kiss it lol
I tried to learn how to snorkel (the men on the ship had some for our group to use). I wasn’t very good at it! lol Joey had to help me not dive under too deep. The water was only up to about the deepest under my arms, shallowest about my waist…but I still had problems! :)
We saw some stingrays swim by and we got some underwater pictures! I had a lil problem w/ the goggles and such since I wore my glasses today, so it was either don’t really see or get water in the goggles! hehe I did almost bust my lip though! I dove down fast and the camera I was holding banged into my lip, since the camera itself floats. That was not a good feeling! lol
It was really neat to see the stingrays! I didn’t get to touch them, but that’s ok :) That was the last stop on our excursion and after that we just went to the ship. We were all icky from the salt water and starving, so that was ok!
I took a few hour nap after we went to get some lunch. Tonight was formal night. We got dressed up and went to dinner. It was yummy :) I had really yummy cream of broccoli and cheese soup.Joey started feeling bad, so we left and got desert to go. He is now feeling better though so everything’s ok :) And that was pretty much our day! lol
I really enjoyed Grand Cayman more than Jamaica! Tomorrow we are in Cozumel! YAY! We are just planning on getting off the boat and just chilling’, instead of planning an excursion.  I’m looking forward to it :)
Picture Time!
We don’t have any pics from the stingrays yet, since it was on a different camera!

Have a great day everyone!

Jamaica- Day 3

Hi Everyone! :)
Today was an adventure! Joey woke me up this morning and Jamaica was right outside! First looking at the island it is beautiful! There are mountains covered with trees and the water is pretty and blue!
We went and ate breakfast, then we went off the ship. Carnival had a Jamaican man there as you get of board for pictures. We went to the terminal and then boarded a bus. One of the first things Joey pointed out was that they drive on the opposite sides we do!
Our trip to the Appleton Estate Rum Factory was very scenic. However…it was VERY bumpy and all the roads we were on were through mountains, meaning winding roads!! Also the ride to get there was TWO HOURS!! It was sad, Joey and I survived 2 days on the boat, but give us an hour in a bus in Jamaica and we were about to “toss our cookies” lol Our driver was drove fast around those mountain roads…I am now more appreciative of the guardrails the US has on curves. I was so scared that he would get too close!!
We got to Appleton, finally lol, and we went inside to receive a cup of “Rum Punch” I learned that I do not like straight rum. We went and took a tour, they showed us how they used to press the sugar out of sugarcane. They had  a donkey there to show us. I felt a lil bad for the donkey since his whole purpose there was to demonstrate that to us. He got to eat the sugarcane husk/shell though, so he was happy :)
They took us into the distillery, and then the place where they keep the rum in the barrels to age.  They keep the rum there a minimum of 3 years, so they had barrels made in 2004-2005 in the front to show us.
After that we went and sampled pressed sugarcane juice, it was VERY sweet. Not too good by itself! Then they let us try molasses.  I didn’t try it though lol  It was then time for lunch, yes they provided a lunch for us :) However we were afraid of getting sick on the way back so we didn’t eat he meal. But there was a lady passing out rum cake, and we both had a piece…it was soo good!!  Then the tour people had more of the different kinds of rum they made for the people to try. I tried a coconut rum. Sounds good, but it wasn’t! lol Joey tried a creamy rum, he liked his. We didn’t buy any though.
We had a long 2 hour ride back. It was a different route though, so different things to look at with the windy, bumpy roads! We were happy to get back on the boat. :)
Tonight the show was a magician and the Carnival dancers. They were good.  I’m not a very good audience in the magic shows though bc I always want to know how they do it! :)
Then dinner, tonight we had delicious pork chops! They were so thick! We ordered desert.  The waiters/waitresses then came out with a piece of the cake desert and sang “Happy Honeymoon”!! They would sing “Happy Honeymoon to you…kissy kissy kissy” LOL This all with Asian accents which just made it better! :D It was so sweet! We have such a nice waitress, she memorized her card about us, so she calls us by our name and asks when we will be back :)
Then right before we were about to leave “the show”started in the dinning room! (We have missed this before since we would just eat and leave) Music started playing and they asked everyone to get up and dance w/ them! The wait staff started dancing to the music! I think the song was the electric slide, but I’m not sure :) It was awesome though. One waiter had a Jamaican hat on w/ reds on it, and then another tied a napkin on his head to be like a bandana :)
After that we walked by the casino and there was more swing dancing!! :D We stopped and watched, this time I did get a picture!! We talked to one of the guys and found out that he is the swing dance teacher!! He has been teaching swing for 14 years! I think he is teaching classes on board then some of the people dancing are his students! He asked us if we wanted to learn, so he showed me the dance moves and I would show Joey the moves! He taught me how to do some spins, but I didn’t get to practice that much. It was SO much fun! :D
Alright enough text…picture time!

As we drove back the schools were out, so the children were walking back home. Each time they saw the tour bus they would wave :) The children wear special uniforms to school, the color depends on the school they attend.
